Neural Reader is a mobile application aimed at converting Text-To-Speech and Speech-To-Text. It can function both as an audio player, and as a dictation transcribe tool. The user can read books, documents, and news articles with the help of Neural Reader.
The major use case of this app is to help people unable to read (with impaired vision) listen to their text inputs by way of converting a text to an audio. The minor use case of this app is to help people who cannot hear (with impaired hearing) see audio transcripts by converting a real time audio speech to a text.
To achieve the goals mentioned above, we had to implement a different set of functionalities.
Our team added support for various file formats, enhanced web article text extraction, improved performance to make the application even more user-friendly.
The user can choose between different types of voices. The reading will be in a natural sounding voice. Furthermore, the user can set up the most comfortably felt playback speed.
In the Reader and Dictation Settings, the user can choose the desired language, Voice, Text Size. The section Profile enables users to opt for a proper subscription plan, change the password and sign out of the account. Plus, the user can restore the subscription and share the feedback.
To develop the mobile application Neural Reader, TBR Group used the Flutter framework and decided to apply the leading artificial neural network technology. This method has been specifically developed for natural language processing.
